New Technologies Professional Development

Students will participate in this on-line discussion group to analyze and discuss the new technology presented in this course. The content must address reading materials and professional experience. Weekly contributions and comments are expected, as outlined in the syllabus. Also, refer to the rubrics for on-line discussions for further details.

Collaboration is the key to realizing the big picture of the learning experience. During asynchronous and synchronous meetings learners will experience the perspective and expertise of peers to share and build on knowledge as a learning community. 

Discussion 1: Post your thoughts in regard to the technology self assessment. What were the results? How do the results apply to the teaching?

Discussion 2: What are blogs? How are they constructed? How can Blogs be used in the classroom, school, and district? How will I use a blog to enhance student achievement?

Discussion 3: How can Blogs support individual professional development activities? How will I use an e-journal blog, classroom blog, Elluminate, or zoomerang to create a lifelong learning community. Submit final reflection as a journal entry.
